Joe Willie Middleton was born December 15, 1948 in Bamberg, South Carolina to the late Johnny Middleton and Annie Lou Orr Middleton . As a child, Joe attended school in the Bamberg County Public School System.

Earlier in life, Joe maintained a membership at Sidney Park Baptist Church in Bamberg, SC. Joe was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorothy Johnson Middleton.  This union was blessed with five children.

Joe was a carpenter.  He worked for Sanders Supply Company, Bamberg, SC for more than 50 years , until he retired. H e later returned to work at Sanders, until his demise.

Joe experienced his share of heartbreak over the years, as he was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Annie ; his wife , Dorothy ; his son, Willie Joe ; and his brothers, Mack , Peter, Johnny, Jr., William and Lewis.

Early on Thursday morning, December 25, 2020 , after a brief illness, God called him home from the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg, SC .

Joe leaves to cherish his memory : a daughter, Kimberly ( J e rell ) Thompson of Columbia, SC ; three sons : Timothy Middleton of Jackso n , MI, Terry (Maxine) Middleton of Cordova, SC and Scottie Middleton of the home ; nine granddaughters: Antoinette Clinkscales (Darron) , Daytoria Thompson, Anya Primrose, Loyal Lewis, Jordon Middleton, Timasha Middleton, Joi Middleton, Sade' Adams and Jenaivah Jones; 5 grandsons: Jerrell Thompson, Ahmad Primrose, Tyrese Black, PFC. Terryon Middleton , and Scotty Middleton; 2 great-granddaughters: London Middleton and Lauren Middleton; 3 great-grandson s : Darion Campbell, Elijah Campbell, Jaydon Middleton ; 2 siblings: Mary Moody and Harry (Jessie ) Middleton of Bamberg, SC; and a host of sisters-in-law , brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
