Funeral services for the late Mr. John Earl Sanders, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Sweet Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Govan, South Carolina on November 26, 2011. Burial will be held at Bamberg Memory Gardens, Bamberg, South Carolina. Mr. John Earl Sanders, Jr., was born on February 9, 1925 to the late John Sanders and Idella Ransom in Govan, South Carolina. On Sunday morning, November 20, 2011, John peacefully departed this life at Bamberg County Hospital in Bamberg, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Sweet Branch Baptist Church in Govan, South Carolina. He was educated at Middle Place School in Govan, South Carolina. John was employed with CSX for many years and he also was employed at JW Williamson Gin of Denmark, South Carolina until he retired. John was united in holy matrimony to the late Margie Ree Williams Sanders. One son, Alexander Sanders preceded him in death. The beautiful memories of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend will forever line in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories: children, Patrice (Alexander Mitchell) Reddish of the home, Harry Gene Sanders and Donell Sanders of Bamberg, South Carolina , Carl (Lois) Sanders, Tempest (Russell) Hightower of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Lorraine (Albert Banks) Sanders Montcrieft, Earl Jr. (Lorraine) Sanders, Jimmie (Jeannett) Sanders, Betty Gene (Allen) Stivner, Carolyn (Limbert) Heart, Ben (Mildred) Sanders all of Denmark, South Carolina, Sharon (Perry Jones) Hicks of Barnwell, South Carolina, Shawn Sanders of Aiken, South Carolina, Pearline Lingard of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Clayden Crawford of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Mamie (Wallace) Hicks of Govan, South Carolina; three brothers, James Sanders of Walterboro, South Carolina and Beatrice Sanders of Bamberg, South Carolina, Henry Clay of Denmark, South Carolina and Willie James Sanders of Bamberg, South Carolina; two special brothers-in-law, Randy Williams of Columbia, South Carolina and Michael Williams of Denmark, South Carolina; a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a devoted friend and riding partner, Edgar Smith; and other loving relatives and friends.
