Mr. John Morris "Bubba" Wright, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at his home.

John was born July 23, 1944 in Holly Hill, SC, a son of the late Albert (Boise) Wright and Madeline Swett Wright.  He was a graduate of Wilkinson High School, SC State College, Trenton State University, and UMass.  He also attended the University of Miami and The Union Institute.  At an early age he accepted Christ into his life and joined Trinity United Methodist Church.  In 1982, John was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated through Epsilon Omega.

John had a zest for life and loved fishing. He had a witty personality and was a connoisseur of all types of music. John also had an affectionate smile that would light up any room. He loved to joke and his laughter was contagious. He was very meticulous about his appearance. Two of John's most gratifying accomplishments was when he wrote and produced his very first Holiday album and a children's music instructional book.

John was family oriented and kept in touch with his family members regularly. He doted on his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and held a special place in his heart for each of his siblings and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Wright Abraham.

John leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving spouse, Mrs. Barbara Miller Wright of the home; three sons, Apollo D. Wright (Melanie) of Yulee, FL; Eddie White, III (Rochelle) of Waxhaw, NC; Bernard Antwain White (Zakia) of Stockbridge, GA, two daughters, Valary W. Peterson of Chicago, IL, Aria F. Wright of New York, NY; one sister, Aliene Wright Robinson of Temple Hills, MD; six granddaughters, Tyla White-Crawford (Duncan) of Orlando, FL, Tyjha, Kennedy, Ryan and London White of Stockbridge, GA, and Asiya Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandsons, Nigel Peterson of Chicago, IL; Odari Lewis of New York, NY,  DevanTe Fishburne of Washington, DC, Braylon White of Waxhaw, NC, Jaxon White of Stockbridge, GA, and Mason Wright of Yulee, FL; two brothers in-law, George Jamison of Summerville, SC; Curtis Robinson of Washington, DC; two sisters-in-law, Annie B. Miller of Orangeburg, SC; Ann Miller of Semora, NC; two aunts, Wilhelmina Wright Williams and Beatrice J. Swett of Holly Hill, SC; three adopted grandchildren, Morgan, Maddison and Blake McDaniel of Blythewood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Today we celebrate John and the life he lived. We will miss him,but have our memories of him to comfort us until we meet again. Rejoice that he has completed the journey he started the day he accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.
