Mrs. Johnette Marie Lawrence-Jones was born on October 29,1951 in Brooklyn, New York.  She was the daughter of the late Marie Perry-Lawrence.  Johnette entered eternal rest on Friday, November 5, 2021.

At an early age she joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of E.I Washington and Sanctuary Choirs.  She was a 1970 graduate of Macedonia High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Voorhees College in 1981.  Johnette was employed with Dixie-Narco, Ashleigh Place, Allendale-Barnwell County DSN Board, and Blackville-Hilda Public Schools until she retired.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Johnette leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Kimberly Lawrence of the home; one sister, Patricia Cogdell of Brooklyn, New York; two brothers: Thomas (Daisy) Harrison of North, South Carolina and Benjamin Perry of Winston- Salem, North Carolina;  one sister- in-law, Lillie Bell Harrison of Blackville, South Carolina; two grandsons: Bobby Harley Jr. and Marquez Lawrence of the home;  one granddaughter, La'Shae Smalls of the home, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special caregiver,  Lessie Donaldson of Blackville, South Carolina.
