Funeral services for the late Mr. Johnnie Faust will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Capernaum Missionary Baptist Church, Denmark, South Carolina.  Interment services will follow immediately at the church cemetery.  Rev. Dr. Alton Taylor and Rev. Joe Banks will officiate.

Mr. Johnnie Faust, the son of the late Raymond and Lula Mae Faust was born February 8, 1934 in Bamberg County.  He peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, October 5, 2018 at his residence in Denmark, SC.

Johnnie received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Capernaum Missionary Baptist, since childhood.

He received his early education at the Capernaum School in Denmark S.C. Although he did not have a high school or college education he gained a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from his life's experiences.


Johnnie was a lot of fun to be around, was a great cook and kept his family and friends laughing and well fed.


Johnnie worked for CSX Railroad in Jacksonville, FL for more than 40 years until his retirement.

Johnnie was joined in holy matrimony to the late Florence Adams who preceded him in death in 1996.

Johnnie's memories will forever be cherished by his two sons: Mark Anthony Faust (Gloria) of Irmo, SC and John Adams Faust (Carolyn) of Columbia, SC; two granddaughters, Sheena Arrell Faust of Chapin, SC and  Denigia Williams of Orangeburg, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Idella Parler of Wilbraham, MA, and Mrs. Rose Hayes of Bayonne, NJ;  a special family friend, Ms. Earlene Rouse and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing for the public will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 noon – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
