Johnnie Lee Sharperson was born November 27, 1943 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, to the late Isaiah and Louise Butler Sharperson. On the early afternoon of Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg, SC our Heavenly Father plucked a rose from his beautiful garden and called her home from labor to reward.

She was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg, South Carolina and was employed by Ambler Industries in Orangeburg for a number of years as an Inspector. At an early age she joined Jerusalem United Methodist Church known now as Edisto Fork United Methodist Church, where she was a member until her passing.

Johnnie Lee met and married Willie Louis Irick and to this union 3 children were born.

Johnnie Lee, as she was "affectionately" known, was preceded in death by her brother, Isaiah Sharperson, Jr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah (Louise) Sharperson, Sr. and her husband, Willie Louis Irick.

Johnnie leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories are three children: Willie Lee Irick, Lucretia (Michael) Irick Lee and Jerome Irick all of Orangeburg, SC; two grandchildren, Desean Hampton and Jakhia Keitt; one step granddaughter, Myesha Green; two sisters, Mildred Louise Sharperson Wolfe and Margaret Sharperson Frazier both of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers, Leroy Sharperson of Brooklyn, NY and Jesse E. Sharperson of Orangeburg, SC, A Special Friend, Mr. Forrest Blunt of Orangeburg, SC. Her Mother-in-Law: Maggie Irick of Orangeburg, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing for the public will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
