Ms. Joyce Lee Moody peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Bamberg-Barnwell Emergency Medical Center in Denmark, South Carolina.

Joyce was born in Bamberg County, South Carolina on March 16, 1955, the daughter of the late Charlie Moody, Jr. and Eartha Mae Rivers-Moody.

She attended the public schools of Bamberg County and Denmark Technical College, where she studied business and welding.

At an early age, she joined and was baptized at Thankful Baptist Church in Bamberg, South Carolina.   After moving to Orangeburg, South Carolina, she attended Greater Faith Baptist Church and later, renewed her membership with Thankful Baptist Church.

Joyce was a certified welder, who worked at American Yard Products and Ducane Heating for numerous years.  She also worked in the hospitality industry and was a private caregiver, and a self taught hairstylist, who specialized in the art of weaving and braiding hair.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to St. Clair Williams and to this union, two children were born.

Joyce was preceded in death by two sisters: Willa Mae Moody-Johnson and Ruth Allen Moody-Morant and three brothers: Charles Moody, Larry Moody and Elza Alphonso Moody.

She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories - two sons:  Prince Sinclair Moody of Denmark, SC and Marion Moody of Columbia, SC; three daughters:  Nicola Cann of Lexington, SC, Shavaka Williams and India Cheyenne Williams of Orangeburg, SC; seven grandsons: Dadrian Kelly and Marion Moody, Jr. of Columbia, SC, James Cann, III of Lexington, SC, Prince Moody, Jr. and London Moody of Springfield, VA, Bryce Alexander Williams and Javon Amir Thomas of Orangeburg, SC; eight granddaughters:  Jamie Cann, Dakota Grate, Jasmine Grate and Dasha Grate all of Lexington, SC, Mariana Moody and Mariah Moody of Columbia, SC, Paris Moody of Springfield, VA, Sa'Nyla Jaylen Brown of Orangeburg, SC; three great grandsons: Carson Peterson, Chance Peterson and Kavion Lyten of Lexington, SC; six sisters: Anna Mae Moody and Geraldine Dowling of Brooklyn, NY, Rosa Nell Henry and Annette (Jerome) Rickenbaker of Columbia, SC,  Jacqueline (Willie James) Smalls and Lorraine Johnson of Bamberg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
