God, in his infinite wisdom, called Judith Yvette Johnson Geohaghan home to an eternal rest on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Judith, " Judy" ,"Tootsie", " Double O " , as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of the late Willie Johnson Jr. and Patricia Bonaparte Johnson.  She was born on November 7, 1970 along with her twin, Joyce, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Judy was a 1989 graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and her Master of Education degree from SC State University and her Education Specialist focusing on Curriculum Development from Converse College.   She began her journey in the field of education as an Upward Bound Instructor at Claflin University, an English Teacher at Orangeburg-Wilkinson, Adjunct Professor at SC State University and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, an English Language Arts (ELA) Specialist, Gifted and Talented Coordinator and Reading Coach for Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five.  She later served on the Edisto Reading Council where she held the position of the Membership Coordinator and Vice President. Her teaching career spanned over twenty-five years. Judy brought engaging and endearing instruction to the many students she taught. Anyone who spent time in her classes or trainings could not help but be touched by the highest level of teaching excellence.

J udy was a #1 Coach's wife who always supported her husband with helping student athletes.  She was extremely helpful with the student athletes getting into college. She increased her knowledge and worked to be a USATF Certified Official (National Level)  where she officiated for the USATF Association Regional and National Championships, AAU Collegiate meets, High School Region, State Qualifiers and State Championship.

J udy was drawn to the piano at a young age.  She loved to sit and let her fingers dance along the keys. Judy played for a number of churches over the years but began at her family home church, New Mount Zion  Baptist Church and later took her talents to St. Luke Presbyterian , Beauty Hill and Orange Grove United Methodist church where she served as Minster of Music.

Judy loved education and music.  She valued the relationships she had with the students she taught and the church families she played for over the years.  More than anything else, Judy loved being a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and cousin.  Anything she could do for anybody, she would because Judy was a giver and didn't mind helping anybody.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Johnson, Jr. and her nephew, Stephen Michael Seegars.

Judy leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Ronald Bernard Geohaghan, Sr. ; sons, Marcus LaBrent, St. Julian D'Angelo  and Ronald Bernard, Jr.; daughters, Ashley T.  and  Amber K ; mother, Patricia B. Johnson; sibilings,  Willie Johnson, III, Darrin T. Johnson, Regina M. Johnson, Jeffrey D. (Adriane) Johnson, and her twin, Joyce Y.(Stanley) Timmons; grandchildren, Aiden Russell, Makayla Marie, and Jeremiah LaBrent. Judy also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of loving relatives, friends, colleagues, and students who played very important roles in her life.
