Funeral services for the late Julia Bell Elmore Sanders will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Blackville, South Carolina. Rev. Dr. Herman Wallace and Min. Malissa Pressley will officiate. Interment services will follow immediately at Hope Memorial Park Cemetery in Barnwell, South Carolina. There will be no public viewing. Julia Bell Elmore Sanders was born on November 27, 1948 in Barnwell County. She was the daughter of the late David Elmore, Sr and Rosella Elmore. She left the earthly world to join her Master on May 31, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother Lang Hubert Elmore. Julia completed her education at Macedonia High School in 1967. She was also a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and remained dedicated until her health made it impossible to attend. She served in many departments within the church. She married her high school sweetheart Elverst (Bubba) Sanders, December 22, 1970. This union was blessed with two children Marcus and Kristian. Julia along with her husband were the owners of S and S Package where she worked for over 20 years. Julia will be remembered for her green thumb, love of flowers, deep devotion to her family and kind heart. She was Mom, Aunt and Friend to many. She leaves to cherish the many precious memories, her beloved husband, Elverst R. Sanders of the home; son, Marcus (Teresa) Sanders of Blackville, SC, and daughter Kristian Sanders, of Charlotte, NC; Sisters Roberta Lawton of Blackville, SC and Florrie Knight of Saint Augustine, FL.; Brothers David (Joann) Elmore, Jr, Roosevelt (Bessie) Elmore and Larry (Mildred) Elmore all of Blackville, SC, Donald (Rosalie) Elmore of Columbia, SC and Dr. Ron (Janie) Elmore of Houston, TX.; Three brothers-in-law James Martin (Evonia) Sanders, Ronald Sanders all of Blackville,SC and Ernest (Georgia) Sanders of Detroit, MI.; Four sisters-in-law Lelia Grayson and Thomas Ann Sanders both of Blackville, SC, Marcella (Rodney) Lillard of Grand Rapids, MI and Katherine Sanders of Los Angeles, CA.; Grandchildren Jasmine and Kiana Sanders of Blackville, SC and one great grand who was the light of her world Londyn Za'Riyah Sanders. A special daughter and son, Thomas and Linda Taylor and two special nephews Brian and Tyrone Harrison along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
