Sargent Kenneth Wilson Elliott, a proud veteran of the United States Army, began his earthly journey on December 11, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland, and returned to his heavenly home on February 3, 2024.

Sgt. Elliott, the son of Inez and Cleather Elliott, grew up in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. After graduating from East Bladen High School, he made the courageous decision to enlist in the United States Army in 1978.  His unwavering commitment led him to serve his country with pride for over thirty years. During his distinguished military career, Sgt. Elliott embarked on numerous overseas assignments. Notably, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he served in both Kuwait and Qatar.  His dedication and sacrifice contributed to the defense of freedom and safety of others and resulted in him obtaining numerous decorations, medals, and badges from the United States Army.

After retirement, Sgt. Elliott entered into the healthcare field, earning certification as a Nursing Assistant and dedicating himself to assisting patients in healthcare facilities across Orangeburg County, to include the Regional Medical Center and the Orangeburg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, where he met his wife, Earnestine.  He later embarked on a career as a security officer, continuing his commitment to protect and serve others.  In 2002, Sgt. Elliott received recognition as Officer of the Year for outstanding service at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. He also served as a Correctional Officer for the Allendale Correctional Institution in Fairfax, South Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Sgt. Elliott was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda (Nathaniel) McCoy- Woods and Teresa Elliott; his brother, Scotty Elliott.

He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Benjamin Elliott of the home, son Julian Corley of  Orangeburg; three grandchildren, Jay Corley, Tremaine Felder, and Jordin Salley, all of Orangeburg; mother-in-law, Onetha Profit of Orangeburg; two bonus daughters, Kiosha (Franklin) Bookhart and Elasha (Freddie) Washington, of Orangeburg, six bonus grandchildren, Nefatarah Cooper, Kywaun Bookhart, Skylar Washington, Eli Bookhart, Taylor Washington, and Najheer Cooper, all of Orangeburg; three sisters Barbara Elliott and Ashley (Stacy) Dukes, of Orangeburg, and Nancy (Donald) Price of Bamberg; seven brother in-law's, Albert L. Robinson, Lloyd Benjamin, Jr., James E. Profit, Coneal Profit, and Samuel H. Profit, all of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Louis D. Profit of Columbia, and Lloyd Rena (Desiree) Benjamin of Orangeburg; one sister-in-law, Betty Y. Profit of Bridgeport, Connecticut; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family members, and close friends.
