Mr. Leroy Bruce, Jr. was born in Branchville, South Carolina on July 31,1950.  A son of the Late Mrs. Rebecca B. Bruce and the late Leroy Bruce, Sr. He fell asleep in death on September 26, 2020 after an extended illness.

Leroy or Lee Jay , as he was affectionately called, was a graduate of Lockett High School in Branchville.  He was employed for many years as a paper deliverer at The Times and Democrat, a machine operator at Okonite, a chauffeur in Connecticut and a truck driver.

Leroy was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah M. Bruce on June 16, 1973 in which he helped raise her daughter, Stacey White.  He and Deborah were married for 45 years.

Leroy symbolized his dedication to Jehovah by water baptism on November 3, 1974, 46 years ago.  He loved Jehovah with all his heart.  As long as health allowed, he did all he could to help others to come to know Jehovah.

Those left to cherish his memories are: daughter, Stacey White of the Home; four sisters, Vanessa B. Brown and Valerie D. Bruce, Branchville, SC, LaVeda B. Jenkins (Johnny )and Freyda M. Bruce , Orangeburg, SC; one brother, Gerald D. Bruce , Charlotte, NC;  two aunts, Jessie Lee Buskey and Lottie Lee Johnson , Branchville, SC;two sisters-in-law, Robin White , Stamford, Connecticut and Lois McNorton , California and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Leroy also assisted in raising four other children, Yolanda Prince, Marcus Prince, Timothy Prince and Shaquiel Prince .
