Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Walker will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Olar, South Carolina. Interment services will follow immediately at the church cemetery. Rev. Ollie Boyd will officiate. Mrs. Lillie Mae Walker was born on October 15, 1919 in Olar, South Carolina to the late Mannie and Annie Mae Richards. She departed this life on April 1, 2014 at Dekalb Medical Center in Hillandale in Lithonia, Georgia. Lillie Mae attended the Olar Public School System. She joined Ebenezer United Methodist Church at an early age, and served as a life long member. She was married to Leon Walker and this union was blessed with six children; two preceded her in death. Mrs. Walker leaves to cherish her loving memories- three daughters, Diane Warren of Decatur, GA, Shirley A. Walker of Atlanta, GA and Pearline Walker of Brooklyn, NY; one son, Clarence Walker of Bamberg, SC; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Louise Overbey of Smyrna, GA and Julia M. Walker of Boston, MA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
