Mr. Linell Brooker Sr., age 60, was born November 10, 1963 in Blackville, SC. He was the son of the late James Leronce Brooker Sr. and the late Lizzie Mae Johnson Brooker.  Linell transitioned to God's eternal home on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

At an early age Linell attended and became a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.  He also received his early education in the Barnwell County Public School System and graduated from Blackville-Hilda High School in 1982. Thereafter, he met his wife, Bernita Johnson and they were married for 37 years.

Linell was employed for a number of years by Ducane Heating Company in Blackville and Sara Lee in Barnwell, SC.  Later, with the assistance of his wife, Linell provided yard and lawn services to residents throughout the Blackville Community for many years.  He also loved good food, watching sports, action movies and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death and now resting with his:  Parents - Two Sisters- Elizabeth and Patricia and Two Brothers - Edward, and James Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his wife, Bernita of the home; four daughters, Marquetta Brooker of Frankfort KY; Marlisa (Brian) Brooker-Bamberg of Denmark, SC; Lynette Brooker of Blackville, SC and Kimberly (Gerod) Brooker-Myers of Barnwell, SC; one son; Linell Brooker, Jr of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Melissa E. Brooker and Christine (Kim) Wilson of Aiken, SC; five brothers, Rundell Brooker of New Ellenton, SC, Leon Brooker of Atlanta GA, Thurmond (Taeman) Brooker of Florence SC, Sherman Brooker of Columbia SC and Joseph Brooker of Aiken, SC; in-laws, Jestine Myers, and Mckinley Hughes of Denmark, SC; seven aunts; one great aunt; six uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
