Ms. Lucille Lee was born October 14, 1944, in Bowman, SC. She is the daughter of Mother Lucille Snell Lee and the late Mr. Timrod "Sonny Boy" Lee. She departed this life Sunday, September 20, 2020, at the Regional Medical Center Orangeburg SC.

Lucille attended East Middle School, which was a community school located off of Homestead Road near Bowman, SC. She also attended Bethune Memorial Elementary and High School both in Bowman, SC. She graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1964.

As years past, she enrolled in South Carolina State College now South Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, and Business Management and Economics.

Lucille worked as a solicitor for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Fund Drive and chairperson of the Volunteer group of nearly three hundred volunteers. She recruited in the city of Orangeburg and appeared on the local Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon on WOLO Television in Columbia, SC, representing and speaking on behalf of all persons with Muscular Dystrophy, like herself.

Lucille had many gifts. She was a seamstress, and she made clothes for many in Orangeburg. She was a hairdresser and also was a songster.

Lucille had many hobbies that she enjoyed, such as cooking and baking, and would make the best fruit cakes and pound cakes. She enjoyed reading, watching sports such as tennis and basketball, and the game shows, especially Jeopardy. She enjoyed making cloth dolls, and loved flowers and garden plants. She also liked older homes, and antiques and older model cars. She enjoyed life one day at a time.

Lucille leaves to mourn her devote and loving mother, Mother Lucille Snell Lee, of the home; four sisters, Jessie B. Cahee, Gussie M. Lee, Joan (Rev. Lonnie) Robinson, Mary (Henry L.) Huggins, of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers, Timrod (Moody) Lee, Orangeburg, SC, Calvin Dennis Lee, of Arlington Virginia; many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. She also leaves many special friends Mrs. Claudia Green, Mrs. Mary Wright, Mrs. Martha Kennedy, Ms. Bessie P. Davis and Mrs. Louise Sherman. Special thanks to her caregivers, Mrs. Ruth Thomas, Mrs. Eugenia Coleman, Mrs. Barbara Cox and Ms. Maggie Shuler.
