Luella departed this life on Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, SC.  She was born on January 23, 1944 in Orangeburg and was the fifth child of eight siblings born to the late Mamie Johnson Davis and Frank Davis, Sr.

She received her formal education at Bethune Memorial High School in Bowman, SC and graduated with the class of 1963.

Luella worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company/ Bell South Telephone Company, which later became AT & T, for many years, until her retirement.

At an early age, Luella affiliated herself with Andrew Chapel Baptist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  She also attended Amity Baptist Church in Jamaica, NY, where Rev. Jeffrey Thompson is the pastor.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Learline Davis Albury and a brother, Eddie "Willie" Davis.

Left to cherish her fond memories include two sisters, Bessie Pearl Davis of Orangeburg, SC and Elizabeth Evans of Jamaica, NY; three brothers, Frank (Sarah) Davis Jr. of Cordova, SC, Leroy (Blondell) Davis and James (Ruby) Davis both of Orangeburg, SC and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
