Mrs. Luella Felder Thomas departed this earthly life to heaven's reward on Friday, November 20, 2020 peacefully at Barnwell - Bamberg Regional Medical Center in Bamberg County. She was born in Barnwell County, South Carolina to the late Armenia Johnson Felder and William "Shack" Holman on September 22, 1941.

Mrs. Luella was preceded in death on September 14, 2007 by her husband of 47 years, Lisbon "Juicy" Thomas, Jr., whom she wed on September 28, 1960. To this union five children were born but several maternal nieces and nephews were reared in the household. She was also preceded in death by her son, James, "Peahead" Thomas on December 4, 2001.

At an early age "Lue" as she was always called, joined the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church on Ashleigh Station in Blackville, SC where she served faithfully as a member and treasurer of the usher's ministry for many years until her health started to decline. She affectionately loved her family and friends and played a pivotal role in helping with the upbringing of so many around her.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Joyce (Mark) Spires of Trenton, SC, Michael Thomas of the home, Rosa Thomas of Blackville, SC, Tammi (Terrence) Singfield of Grovetown, GA, Kareem (Sophia) Davies of Huber Heights, OH and Ricky Kirkland of Rio Rancho, NM; eighteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Deloise Thomas of Blackville SC and Mrs. Gladys Rose of Springfield, SC; a brother-in-law, Mr. Wilmer Thomas of Aiken, SC and a host of nieces and other family and friends that she loved dearly.
