Funeral services for the late Mr. Luther Elvin Broughton, Jr. will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Dash's Funeral Home Bamberg Chapel, Bamberg, South Carolina. Interment services will follow immediately at Lemon Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Bamberg, SC.


Luther Elvin Broughton, Jr. was born on February 13, 1960 in Bamberg, South Carolina and entered into eternal rest on January 24, 2018 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Mr. Luther Broughton was educated in the Bamberg Public Schools. He joined Lemon Swamp Baptist Church in Bamberg, South Carolina at an early age. He grew up in a loving Christian home. He later joined Springtown Baptist Church in Bamberg, South Carolina.

Mr. Broughton was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He managed his own home building and renovations services. He was well-known in his community and surrounding areas.

Luther is preceded in death by his parents, Luther E. Broughton,Sr. and Emma Lee Broughton.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his loving wife, Clary Ann Broughton; two devoted daughters, Norma Smith and Leslie Smalls; one son, Jason (Melissa) Smith; two sisters; three brothers and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
