LUTHER SWINT, affectionately known as "Uncle Son", was born October 27, 1936 in Blackville, South Carolina to the late Mr. William and Mrs. Abbie Swint.

Luther attended the public schools in Blackville, South Carolina. He spent his mid-20's through late 30's in Charleston, South Carolina. He returned to Blackville to work in and around the area in the facto- ries for over 30 years.

Luther was preceded in death by his parents and a number of siblings.

Those remaining to cherish fond memories are his sisters, Mrs. Louise Swint Wells of Charleston, South Carolina and Mrs. Beulah Walters of Blackville, South Carolina as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
