On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Mrs. Lutretter E. Leigh, transitioned at her residence and entered into eternal rest.

Lutretter was born on June 26, 1952 in Barnwell County to the late Wesley Elmore Sr. and the late Mary Elmore Staley.  She attended Macedonia High School in Blackville, South Carolina and graduated in 1970.

Early in life, Lutretter joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, sang on the Sunbeam Choir and remained there until her passing. Lutretter attended Voorhees College for two years and was faced with health challenges. She later moved to Washington, DC.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, her brother Wesley Stevie Elmore, and her aunt, Leolar Green.

Cherishing Lutretter's precious memories are her sisters, Retha (Hariel) Corley, Ella Elmore and Shirley Henderson all of Blackville, SC and Rebecca Staley of Aiken, SC; a brother, Leroy Elmore of Belvedere, SC; nieces, Temisha Lashea Elmore, Darcell E. Butler, Shaniece Livingston, Yolanda Williams, Melody Birt, Kimberly Myers, Alicia Buckels; nephews, Anthony (Valerie) Corley, Leroy Elmore, Jermaine (Patricia) Posey, Wesley Elmore; great nieces, Kellyce Butler, Katelynn Myers, Ivory Myers, Kyleah Livingston; great nephews, Kellynn Butler, Kyler Livingston and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
