Sister Maggie Lee Goodwin peacefully passed away at a Retirement Home in
Orangeburg County. Ms. Goodwin was born on April 12, 1942 to the late Richard and
Lurlene Goodwin in Bamberg County.

At an early age she joined Eden Baptist Church. She served faithfully as an Usher until
her health began to decline. In her earlier years, she attended Richard Carroll High School.
Ms. Maggie worked many years at Bamberg Sewing Room and Tobul Accumalator. She later retired from
Bamberg Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Dietary Department.

Ms. Goodwin is the last of eight children and she leaves to mourn her passing: a very close niece and
"daugther of the heart," Lear Retta Smart; a special nephew/ "son", Fredrick Smart, Sr.; special grandkids whom
she cherished, Christopher Smart, Trenesia Smart, Fredrick Smart, Kritofia Smart, Kheretta Smart, Calise Smart,
Kellie Smart and Aiden Christian. Ms. Maggie never had any biological children, but loved her nieces and
nephews: Pamela (Frances) Johnson, Anthony Washington, Mary (Harry) Downing, Sheila Washington, Shirley (Willie) Brown, Terry (Darlene) Washington, Linda (Bernard) Smoakes, Brenda Broughton and family, Leroy (Georgia) Washington, Tevin, Kaquia, Taniya Washington, Frank, Roger Broughton, Lillian (Daniel) Brown, Frances (Roy) Beard, Shari (Dwayne) Campbell, Nadia Walker, Porcelain Brown, Ciara Brown, Corey Sims, Josh and Chris Jones, Aaliyah Smalls, Marcus, Maurey, Malik Smalls, Roy Beard, Jr.,
Tracey Walker and son, Charlie (Shelia) Broughton, Avery Shelia, Charlie Broughton, and Jacorie Sims, a sister-in-law, Lilla Thames and
a special friend, Johnathan Brabham.
