A Time To Be Born ……. Margaret L. Hampton , affectionately known as the "Gin and Juice Lady," was the daughter of the late Hollie Riley and the late David Ritter and Bertha Lee Ritter on April 30, 1940 in Orangeburg, SC. She departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her reside nce.

A Time For Spiritual Growth ……. Margaret was saved at an early age, and was a devoted member of Warren Chapel Baptist Church in Orangeburg. It was here where she served as adedicated Deaconess until her health failed .

A Time To Gather Stones and A Time To Work ……. Margaret received her education at Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg. She was employed and later retired from South Carolina State University, where she worked in Washington Dining Hall.

A Time To Love ……. Margaret was joined in holy matrimony to the late Deacon Peter Hampton on April 1, 1956. To that union, they were blessed with five sons.Her son, Laicretius Hampton, preceded her in death. She also had two sisters and two brothers. Her younger sister, Delores Bamberg ; a niece, Carthenia BambergRumph ; her brothers, Dan Lee and Harold Ritter preceded her in death.

A Time To Rejoice ……. God, in His infinite wisdom, called Margaret to rest on December 20, 2018. Although she's departed this life, she will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.

A Time To Remember ……. Margaret leaves to cherish her life, her mothe r, BerthaLee Ritter of Orangeburg, sons , Pastor Silvester Hampton and J ohnathan L. ( RosLinda ) Hampton both of Orangeburg, Able ( Doris ) Hampton of Ladson and Klair Reese of Goose Creek ; one sister , Roszenia ( Jimmy Ray ) Heyward of Orangeburg, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, adopted sons, daughters, family, former co-workers, and dear friends.
