Funeral services for the late Mr. Marion Morgan will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at New Beginnings UMC in Norway, SC at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Authur Rose will officiate. Mr. Morgan will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Viewing for the public will be held on Monday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Marion Morgan was born on September 16, 1952 to the late Marion Morgan Jr. and Dorothy James. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Medical College of Georgia. Morgan, as he was affectionately called, was united in marriage to Barbara Kinard Morgan. To this union, three children were born. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Dorothy James, father Marion Morgan Jr. and his sister Mary Lee James. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Barbara Kinard Morgan; two daughters: Stephanie Juanita (Jamie) Johnson of Williston, SC and Carol Kinard of Charleston, SC; one son: Khan Morgan of Charlotte, NC. Four brothers: Leonard James, Robert (Cynthia) James, Jaycee (Nancy) James and Allen (Shawnta) Harrison, all of Blackville, SC; Six grandchildren: Jamie Johnson Jr., Shi'Tavia Johnson, Sha'Mya Johnson, Ryan Johnson of Williston, SC; Krystal Kinard of New York and Karim Kinard of Blackville, SC. Five aunts: Emma Williams of Blackville, SC; Hattie Morgan and Eartha Tabor of Springfield, SC; Cora Morgan, Columbia, SC; Ethel Henderson, Orangeburg, SC. Two uncles: Louis and Jayce Morgan of Springfield, SC. A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
