Mary Ceonia Davis Albright was born on December 7, 1930
in Blackville, South Carolina to the late Deacon Morgan E. Davis and
Deaconess Lottie S. Davis. She departed this life on July 8, 2022 at
Piedmont Hospital, Snellville, Georgia.
Ceonia was educated at Macedonia School located in Blackville, SC, and
graduated in 1949. She was also educated at Voorhees Junior College
in Denmark SC, where she studied Elementary Education.
On December 23, 1957 she joined in holy matrimony to her childhood
sweetheart, the late Deacon James Albright. After marriage they moved
to Philadephia, Pennsylvania where they resided with their two children,
Markel Albright and Nikkisha Albright Twyman.
Years following her retirement from her career as a rehab nurse at
Moss Rehab in Philadelphia, PA., her and "Jim" as she called her
beloved husband, returned to Blackville, SC.
After relocating back to Blackville, SC she became a faithful and
dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She served as
Deaconess, mother of the church and in many other capacities in the
church.
Affectionately known as "aunt Ce Ce" by friends, family, and anyone that
was blessed to know her was instantly shown love. And when leaving
her presence or ending a phone call you would always here "I love you
and Jesus loves you too".
Aunt Ce Ce loved spending her time gardening, cooking, sewing, and
spoiling not only her four great-grandchildren, but any child she came in
contact with. No matter which role she played in a persons life she
honored that role and showed it to the best of her ability and beyond. She
will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two siblings, Ruth Mae Davis
Evans and Lee Edward Davis; her husband, Deacon James Albright and
two children, Markel Albright and Nikkisha Albright Twyman.
She leaves to cherish in her memories - a loving granddaughter, Miriam
Alexis Albright (Willie IV) Lynch of Stone Mountain, GA; greatgrandchildren: Kamari, Kadir, Kyree, and Kayden Lynch, all of Stone
Mountain, GA; two sisters: Mildred D. White and Emily Lee both of
Blackville, SC and Betty Monteiro of Hephzibah GA, and a host of other
relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
