Funeral services for the late Mary Clay "Tooda" Gay will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Cope, SC. Interment services will follow immediately in the church cemetery. Mary Clay "Tooda" Gay, daughter of the late Henry Pat Dibble and Addie Dibble was born on July 23, 1945 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 21, 2012 at her residence. Mary attended the public schools in Orangeburg County. At an early age, she joined Pine Grove Baptist Church in Cope, South Carolina. She was a member of the gospel choir for many years. Mary was employed for many years at Rock Ion Industries and Amblers Industries. She thoroughly enjoyed working at Green's Daycare and putting smiles on children's faces. Her passion for caring for children and fishing with her brother and sister was evident. She was a humble, quiet, and loving person with a beautiful smile. Mary will be fondly missed by her family and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, McArthur Gay; a son, James Gay; two sisters, Bernice Dibble and Elease Dibble; two brothers, Henry C. Dibble and Clarence Dibble. Left to cherish Mary's memories are: her daughters, Rose Guinyard and Algean (Albert) Isaac; one sister, Mrs. Charlotte Cleckley; one brother, Monroe (Bessie) Dibble; four sisters-in-law, Eartha Mae (John) Hallman, Louise Moultrie, Hattie Mae Hair and Rose Bud Gay; a god daughter, Leola Smith; a god son, Minister Brian Anderson; a special friend, Mr. Elliott Glover; close friends, Mary Wright, Irene Coulter, Vernell Thompson, Shirley Williams, Carrie Fine, Lois Tobin; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
