Mary Louise Holman was born December 23, 1937 in Dunbarton, South Carolina to the late James Peeples, Sr. and Essie Golphin Peeples. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in her home.

Mary was educated in the Four Mile School System, in Dunbarton, South Carolina. She retired from Blackville Public School System as a Food Service Worker.

At a young age, Mary joined Ned Branch Baptist Church in Barnwell, South Carolina. She later joined Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, South Carolina.

Mary was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She enjoyed Sewing, Word Seek and Find, and encouraging others in the Lord. She enjoyed serving as an Usher at her church and served faithfully for over 30 years. Mary was a wonderful woman and of many talents. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts and minds of those who knew her.

Mary was joined in holy matrimony to Nathaniel Holman, Jr. on February 26, 1955. This union was blessed with six children, two daughters and a son preceded her in death; Connie Holman, Michael Holman, and Joyce Holman.

Survivors include her husband, Nathaniel Holman; three daughters: Inell Waring, Eartha (Manuel) Brownlee, and Felicia (Leroy) Williams; one son: Nathan Holman; adopted daughter and son: Evelyn Peeples, and Carl Peeples; three sisters: Audrey Priester, Eunice Atwell, Doris Williams; four brothers and one sister preceded her in death: George Peeples, Thomas Peeples, James Peeples, Jr., Charles Peeples, and Daisy Evans; one sister-in-law: Joann (David Jr.) Elmore; seven sisters-in-law preceded her in death; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
