Mary L. Roundtree, daughter of the late Charlie Dobie, Sr and Pauline Sanders Dobie, was born March 20, 1943, in Barnwell County, South Carolina. At early age she accepted Jesus Christ into her heart at St. Peter Baptist Church, Elko, SC where she served faithfully until her health declined. She was educated at Kelly Edwards School in Williston, SC. She worked at several manufacturing companies for many years. She was united in marriage to Louis Roundtree, Sr. Mrs. Roundtree was called to her heavenly home on June 1, 2025, at Aiken Regional Medical Center with her children, grandchildren, and friends by her side.

Mary loved attending church, cooking, and spending time with family. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Roundtree Sr., mother, father, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Doris Roundtree of Blackville, SC; Laurice (Samuel) Ferguson of Goose Creek, SC; Louis (Joyce) Roundtree of Blackville, SC; Ethel (Joseph) Jones of Aiken, SC; Frank (Connie) Roundtree of Blackville, SC and Dr. Anthony Roundtree of West Palm Beach, Fl. Mary had 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, a brother, Leroy (Ida) Doby of Columbia, SC, a sister-n-law, Kathleen Dobie of Charlotte, NC and a brother-n-law, Wesley (Jeanette) Roundtree of North Augusta, SC as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
