Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Dash's Funeral Home Chapel in Bamberg, SC. Viewing for the public will held on Saturday beginning at 12:00 noon until the hour of the funeral service. McArthur Grant, affectionately known as "Mack," was the son of the late Prodigal Sr. and Annie Lee Busby Grant. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, August 30, 2015. He was born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina on January 28, 1954. At a young age, Mack joined Good Hope A.M.E. Church. He was a graduate of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, Bamberg, South Carolina, Class of 1973. He also attended and received an Associate Degree in Engineering from Denmark Technical College, Denmark, South Carolina. Mack joined the United States Army and was in the Airborne Division. Mack lived in Harlem and the Bronx, New York for over thirty years. While in New York City, he was employed by the Post Office and as a truck driver. Mack leaves to cherish fond memoriesthree sisters: Ms. Flossie Holman of Bamberg, SC, Ms. Ether L. (Willie) Rice of Louisville, KY and Ms. Annie R. (Emanuel) Middleton of Brooklyn, NY; four brothers: Daniel Grant and Benjamin (Daisy) Grant of Louisville, KY, Leroy (Barbara) Grant of Columbia, SC and Prodigal (Linda) Grant, Jr. of Macon, GA, and a host of nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nephew and nieces; his close cousins: Nathaniel Robinson of Bamberg, SC and Willie Huggins of Orangeburg, SC, other cousins, relatives and friends; special friends, Henry and Gail and members of the Class of 1973. Friends may call at the residence of his sister, Flossie Holman, 63 Croft Street, Bamberg, SC and at the funeral home.
