Funeral services for the late Melissa Serena Parker will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Edisto Fork United Methodist Church, Orangeburg, South Carolina. Interment services will follow immediately following the funeral services. Viewing for the public will be held on Thursday between the hours of 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm. Ms. Parker was born on October 4, 1984 to Larry Mosely and Mary Parker. Born and raised in Orangeburg, Melissa attended Rivelon Elementary, Brookdale Middle School and Orangeburg- Wilkinson High School. Ms. Parker continued her education at Orangeburg Technical College majoring in Early Childhood Education. Melissa was president of the Future Educators of America and was employed in the student service department at Orangeburg Technical College. Ms. Parker was a patient and supportive student with a passion for teaching children. She participated in numerous church activities. Inspiring creativity and dedication in others was her life long goal. Ms. Parker is preceded in death by her grandfather's Jessie Parker, Sr. and Nathaniel Mosley, Sr. Ms. Parker is survived by her daughter, Kiarra Johnson; mother, Mary Parker; her father, Larry Mosley; grandmother, Eva Parker; sisters, Alfreida Parker, Lashonda Matthews, Tiwani Cusack, Eboni Cusack and Na'Shelle Cusack; brothers, Breyron Cusack and Demetrus Joyner;
