Michelle L Myers-Stokes, daughter of Willie Lee Porter and Edna Mae Myers, was born on April 19, 1971 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC.

Michelle attended the public schools of Orangeburg County School District Five. Michelle's work career includes Family Dollar, American Containers and Roper Yard Products, which is now Husqvarna.

Michelle attended Shiloh Baptist church and visited Gospel Temple of Deliverance Church. She was such a loving and caring person, who enjoyed having fun. Her humorous personality kept everyone around her laughing and in good spirits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Deborah Ann Brooks-Pinkney and one brother John Wesley Myers.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her husband Joseph Stokes; five sisters, Mary Myers, Freddie Mae Cauthen, Ganett Nelson, Mary Levine and Janie Tracy; six brothers, Kenneth Myers, Mark Brooks, Gregory Miller, Leonard Porter, Anthony Porter and Brian Davis; aunts, Jessie Bell Briggman, Sarah May (Frank) Davis, Ruby Lee Pou, Annie Busby and Willie Mae (John) Fair; one uncle, John Porter; a special niece, Mikiera Myers; a special god-son Kenndle Myers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also, her special aunt Deloris Frazier, "who always had her back".
