Mildred Louise Sharperson Wolfe was the daughter of the late
Mr. Isaiah (Louise Butler) Sharperson. She was the eldest of six children.
Mildred attended the public schools of Orangeburg County School
District Five where she participated in the basketball and track programs. She was a graduate of Sharperson High School in 1960.
At an early age, she joined Jerusalem United Methodist Church (currently named Edisto Fork United Methodist Church). Mildred attended
Sunday School and was very active with the Usher Board and served as
President.
Mildred lived her life providing service to others. She was employed
by Rhodes Cleaners, One Hour Martinizing, Ambler Industries and retired from Days Inn.
She enjoyed helping other people and did not know how to say no
to others. She called them all her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Wolfe, sister, Johnnie Lee Irick, brother, Isaiah Sharperson Jr. and granddaughter, Samantha Shirreese Simpson.
She leaves to mourn her fondest memories: Milton Wolfe, Theresa
Thomas (Wilson Cleckley), Harry (Michele) Wolfe, and Briggitt Wolfe,
all of Orangeburg, SC; one son-in-law, John W. Thomas; one sister, Margaret Fraizer of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers, LeRoy Sharperson of
Brooklyn, NY and Jesse E. Sharperson of Orangeburg, SC; one aunt,
Vera Tate of Philadelphia, PA; one uncle, George Sharperson of Calhoun
County, SC; one sister-in-law, Carrie Lee Fine of Orangeburg, SC; a lifelong special friend, Anna Mack and a special care giver to the end, Shemika Wolfe, her granddaughter. She had fifteen grandchildren,
twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She
was also loved by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
