Ruth Jones was born on January 14, 1922 to the late Loly and Laura Holman Dowling. She departed this earthly life on February 17, 2015. Ruth was united in holy matrimony to the late Holbrook Jones and this union was blessed with one son, Brooker T. Jones, Sr. who has preceded his mother in death. She is also preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael Jones and Anthony Jones, Sr. Cherishing Ruth's memories are two sisters, Luevenia Wroten and Samella Edwards both of Govan, SC; two grandsons, Brooker T. (Audrey) Jones Jr. and Christopher (Jackie) Jones both of Raleigh, NC; great grandchildren, Tekeya (Shannon) Jenkins, Sedequa (Tyler) McQueen, Brittney (Jeremy) Williams, Anthony (Stephany) Jones, Kristian (Michael) Murray, Adrienne, Quentin, Christena and Morgan; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Clara Dowling; one special niece, Wilma Edmond; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
