Funeral services for the late Mr. Willie James Williams will be held on Friday, May 17, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, SC. Interment services will follow immediately at Frost Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackville, SC. Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 10:00 am-8:00 pm at the funeral home. On Monday, May 12, 2014, Mr. Willie James Williams of 49 Maize Lane, Blackville, South Carolina went home to be with Jesus. Mr. Williams was born to Jessie Mae Williams and the late Morris Peeples, Sr. on November 12, 1949 in Blackville, South Carolina. Willie received his early education in the Williston School District and was a graduate of Kelly Edwards High School. Willie joined Frost Branch Baptist Church at a very young age, where he remained a member until his passing. Willie was employed by a few companies until he found his calling in corrections. He joined the South Carolina Department of Corrections in 1995. He retired from there in 2011 after many years of dedicated service. After retiring, he pursued his passion and love for cooking by opening WJ's Restaurant and Pit BBQ in Williston, South Carolina with his brother. In 2014, he married his dedicated and caring partner, Louise Islar. He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Peeples, Sr. and a step son, Selwyn Byron Goodwin. He is survived by - his mother, Jessie Mae Williams; stepmom, Bessie Peeples; his wife, Louise Williams; sons: Van (Pamela) Williams of North Augusta, SC, Jason (Natasha) Williams of Barnwell, SC; sisters: Helen Singletary of Charleston, SC, Bertha (Dougless) Ray of Atlanta, GA, Ida (Joseph) Carter of Blackville, SC, Sarah (William) Holiday of Norway, SC and Rose (Solomon) Daniels of Blackville, SC; brothers: Morris (Karine) Peeples, Jr. of Blackville, SC, Julius Williams (a dedicated friend of the family, Sharon Hartwell) of Barnwell, SC, and Robert (Betty) Williams of Norway, SC; step siblings: Sharmie Sanders of Blackville, SC, Anthony (Louvenia) Sanders of Graniteville, SC, Frankie (Alicia) Sanders of Orangeburg, SC, and Audrey (Anita) Sanders of Williston, SC; step children: Darryl Sanders, Sr. of Carceret, NJ, Andrea McKethan of Barnwell, SC and Linda Islar of Denmark, SC; grandchildren: Byron Williams, Brianna Williams, Camron Williams, and Carson Williams; two children of the home that he loved dearly: Jeelani Robinson and Jamera Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
