Today we celebrate the life of Na'Ja Shelby Sanders. He was born December 2, 2002, to Pertina D. Williams-Sanders and the late Darryl Sanders, in Orangeburg, SC. Na'Ja attended the public schools of Orangeburg, SC.

He had a positive drive and determination for his education and received his High School Diploma from White Pines High School in Union, SC. He was employed by Biddie Banquet. Na'Ja was determined to seek higher learning and was accepted to Greenville Technical College, for the upcoming fall semester.

Na'Ja leaves to cherish his fond memories a very tight-knit, loving family: his mother, Pertina Williams-Sanders of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters; Zhyriah Sanders, Cadedra Ellison, Zikra Gantt; four brothers; Darryl Montgomery of NY, Devin Gilmore, Saadiq King and Darryl Sanders, Jr. of SC; six aunts, Sally (Sammy) Bookhart, Keisha Shuler, Dorothy Bowman, Shinique Bennett (special aunt), Audrey Johnson of SC, Sandra Sanders, Marilynn (Mitchell) Sanders of NY; three uncles, Steven Sanders, Reginald (Yolanda) Butler of SC, Donald Sanders of NY; two special godfathers, Rome Brown and Brian Anderson of SC and a very dear best friend, N'Yanna Freeman of SC.
