Ms. Norma Jean Goodwin's Obituary
Funeral services for the late Norma Jean Goodwin will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Blackville, SC. Interment services will be held immediately at Hope Memorial Park Cemetery, Barnwell, SC. Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon-7:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
On September 9, 2017, our Heavenly Father called our beloved Norma Jean Goodwin home. Norma Jean Goodwin was born on August 15, 1967 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina to Hattie Mae Goodwin and the late Champion Youmans.
At an early age, she became a member and was baptized at Capernaum Baptist Church in Denmark, South Carolina. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Blackville, South Carolina.
Norma Jean attended Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School in Norway, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Annette Johnson, Vera Goodwin and Gloria Goodwin; brothers: Christopher Goodwin, Champion Youmans, Jr. and Earl Youmans.
To cherish her memories and mourn her departure are—her children: Ryan Nobles (Alishia) Fields of Orangeburg, SC; daughters: Sannekqua Teshawn Goodwin of Springfield, SC, Sonja Michelle Goodwin, Deon Nicole Goodwin of Columbia, SC and Rachel Denise Sabb of Fairfax, SC; (5) grandchildren: Jordyn Parker, Jamahri Parker, Ri'yonna Fields, Piper Fields and Brooklyn Cassells; mother, Hattie Mae Goodwin of Blackville, SC; siblings: Carol (Samuel) Gathers of Charleston, SC, Ronnie Goodwin of Bronx, NY, Joann Goodwin, Ruthie (Dwight) Smalls, Edith (Darren) Stroman and Jimmie Goodwin all of Blackville, SC, Earnestine Singleton, Martha James, Jacquline Washington, Randy Youmans, Douglas Youmans and Johnny (Stacey) Youmans all of Denmark, SC, Earnest Youmans and Michael Youmans both of Norway, SC; (4) aunts: Carrie Acosta of Denmark, SC, Rutha Koslow of Norway, SC, Clara Lee of Neeses, SC and Mary Boykins of Maryland; (2) uncles: Reverend Dr. Rayford Goodwin and Willie Goodwin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
