KENNERLY WILL BE PLACED IN THE SANCTUARY OF THE CHURCH ONE HOUR BEFORE THE SERVICE. MRS. PENNEY E. INABINET KENNERLY, daughter of Rosalee B. Inabinet and the late Frank J. Inabinet was born in Kittery, Maine on August 25, 1962. She entered into eternal rest on June 10, 2013. She attended school in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1980. Penny was a faithful member of Cornerstone Community Church and also attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with her husband. She met her first husband, Kevin B. Lewis and that union was blessed with two children. The love she had for children led her to employment with Nome Receiving Home Alaska and then Alaska Baptist Family Services. Penny relocated with her family to Orangeburg, South Carolina in 2003. She became employed with Connie Maxwell Children's Home as Lead House Parent where she cared for eight or more boys at a time. Penny stated that "caring for children was her calling and she loved it". While working at Connie Maxwell she met and later became the wife of Claflin J. Kennerly. Mrs. Penney E. Inabinet Kennerly leaves to cherish her memory - her husband, Claflin J. Kennerly; mother, Rosalee B. Inabinet; daughter, Shayne (Stanley) Wright; son, Alston R. Inabinet-Lewis; sisters, Andrea and Tanya Inabinet, Channell Webster; step-children, Tracy (Joseph) Thomas, Sherry (Otis) Johns, Chris (Myrna) Kennerly, Martha Ryant and Cherrell Kennerly; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, beloved children of Connie Maxwell as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and friends. Viewing for the public will be held on Sunday between the hours of 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm. A wake will be held from 6:-00- 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
