Perrian"Captain" Lamont Tirrell Holmes was born on December 30, 1972 in Orangeburg, SC. He was the first born son of the late Mrs. Janie Holmes and the late Mr. Charles Mack. He departed this life on September 14, 2020 at his place of residence.

Perrian "Captain" Holmes grew up and lived in Orangeburg, SC. He was known by the name of Captain or Cap for short, which was given to him when he was a child due to him always wanting to be in charge. He attended Orangeburg -Wilkinson High School where he was 1991 graduate. Thereafter, he briefly attended OC Tech where he studied accounting.  His hobbies were drawing, playing sports, listening to different genres of music, and writing.  Perrian  had a longtime aspiration of writing a novel. He also enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and helping others.

He was often seen riding around town and was very talkative and friendly. He was a loving brother, son, uncle, nephew, and friend. Although he had no children, he treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Holmes; an uncle, Larry Holmes and an aunt, Betty Holmes.

He is survived by his two siblings, Omar Ateef Holmes and Tiffany Yvette Holmes both of Orangeburg, SC; aunts, Edna Holmes of Brooklyn, NY, Daisy Holmes of Orangeburg, SC; uncles, Isaac (Lois) Holmes of Columbus, Ga and Ronnie Holmes of Orangeburg, SC;  five nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Omarial, Mekhi, Tymel, and Skylah; a special cousin (who was like a mother) Georgia Durant Holmes, Yashica Haynes-Temple (who was like a sister) of Virginia Beach, Va and a host of other family members and friends.
