Mr. Preston Coleman was the son of the late Deacon Elmore Coleman and Mrs. Luemisher Dorsey Coleman. He was born in Blackville, South Carolina on August 16, 1940.  He entered into an eternal rest on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Ridge Nursing Home in Edgefield, South Carolina.

Preston was one of seven children. At an early age, he became a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Blackville, South Carolina.  Preston attended Macedonia School in Blackville, South Carolina.  At an early age he left home and moved to New York City.

Although Preston's physical presence will be no more, he will leave precious memories for many family and friends to cherish.

Preston's memories will be cherished by his five children, Preston Coleman Jr. of Columbia, SC, Darren Coleman of North Carolina, Linda Scott of St. Petersburg, Virginia, Lisa Coleman of Columbia, SC and Peyton Coleman of Baltimore, MD; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Crawford of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mozell (McKinley) Harley of Aiken, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
