Pret, as she was affectionately known, received her early education at South Plantation High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, graduating in 1997, and she also graduated from Job Corps in 2003.  She furthered her education in medical school graduating in 2007.

Pret was employed at J.C. Penny for over 8 years.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age, becoming a member of Williams Memorial CME Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She relocated to South Carolina in 2014, joining Macedonia Baptist Church in 2015.  She worked at Urban Outfitter in Aiken, South Carolina until she became ill in June 2015.

Pret leaves to cherish her memories—a lovely daughter, Little Miss Heven Dowling; her mother, Patricia and father, Carl Logan all of Blackville, South Carolina; three siblings: Delaney (Shaquanda) Dowling, Krystal (Kenneth) St. Louis and Carlton Mattear; six nieces; four nephews; three great nephews; a host of aunts and uncles: John L. Dowling (Marty), Eloise Harley (William), Lilly Mae Jones (Von Lee), Herbert Dowling (Jessie), Lesley Dowling, Sheila Ash (Frank), Joann Sanders, Lila Grayson, Linda Logan, Nancy Logan, Verne Logan (Gloria), Earl Logan and Edward Logan (Brenda), a host of cousins and friends, and a dear friend, Dee Spencer.
