Roline B. Washington was born December 15, 1933, in Granville County, NC to the late Claude and Lillian Perry.  She was the youngest of five siblings.  After her mother remarried to Elder Albert Person her family grew larger to include seven more siblings.

Roline graduated from Albion Academy in Franklinton N.C. She was a member of the Thankful Temple Church of God In Christ (Brooklyn, NY) and Thankful Baptist Church (Bamberg, SC).

In her early adult years, Roline moved to Brooklyn, NY to start her life. She met Jessie Ginyard, married and started her family. They had four children. She was a hard-working woman who provided for all of her family.

In her mid-years she met the love of her life, Solomon Washington. Her family became larger and filled with more love from the Washington family.

In the summer of 1990, Roline moved to Bamberg, SC with her husband where they raised their grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Roline lived her life to be fair and kind to all she knew. Her loving smile was contagious, and her memories will always be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She was prededed in death by four children, Karl Ginyard, Bernita Bellafant, Sharon Washington and Bernard Ginyard and ten siblings, Josie Yarbough, Annie Lynch, Leroy Perry, Albertine Person, Lallie G. Perry, Esther Clark, Eugenia Whitker, Emma Scales, Miller Perry and Russell Person.

Those left to cherish her memory are:  her children, Ruby Ginyard, Kenneth and Marjorie Washington, Sharon Ginyard, Lavern Ginyard, Gloria Taft and Solomon Washington, Jr.; grandchildren, Chad and Kimberly Ginyard, Cordell and Ashley Perry, Naquan Ginyard, Jason Ginyard, Jaerrel Ginyard, Jessica Ginyard, Rawn Ginyard and Keenen Ginyard; two brothers, Clarence Person and George Person; two special friends, Johnnie Knox and Mary Derico, as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
