Ronald Roosevelt Williams, Sr., the son of the late David Williams and Elizabeth Williams was born in Branchville, SC on October 25, 1947 and transitioned on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from this earthly life.

In his younger years, Ronald attended Locket Elementary School, and affiliated himself with Wilson Chapel Methodist Church. His family later moved to Orangeburg, SC, where he attended Wilkinson High School. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America and graduated in the Class of 1965.

On October 29, 1966, Ronald married the love of his life Lacella Williams. To this union, five children were born: 2 girls and 3 boys.
In Ronald's earlier years, he loved life, cooking on the grill, and loving his family. His pastime was watching western movies and wrestling. He was a hard worker and had many jobs over the years. Ronald worked at Winn Dixie, Piggly Wiggly, Osco Meat, Carolina Eastman, SCSU Dining Hall, and retired from Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Ronald leaves to cherish his life and memories, his beloved and dedicated wife of 57 years, Lacella Williams; their 5 amazing children: Ramona Williams, Orangeburg SC; Ronald R. Williams, Jr. of North Carolina; Dr. Opal D. Williams of North Carolina; Aaron L. (Phaedra) Williams of Florida; Vincent Williams, Orangeburg, SC; from this union, four grandchildren, Davina Felder, Ramoni Felder, Kejuan Williams, and King Eli Williams, of Orangeburg, SC; two great grandchildren, Harmony White and Keshawn White, of Orangeburg, SC.
Ronald is also survived by his loving and dedicated sister, Deborah Johnson of Burlington, NC; two sisters- in- law, Lorene Ammonds of Orangeburg, SC and Betty Williams of Bethel, CT; one aunt, Annette Williams of Sarasota, FL; a special cousin, Deedra Wright of Columbia, SC; two special nephews, Greg Davis of Tampa, FL and Alton Ford of New Milford, CT and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
