Funeral services for the late Mr. Samuel Clay Moorer will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. John Baptist Church, Cameron, SC. Interment services will follow immediately at the church cemetery.  Viewing for the public will be held on Friday between the hours of 10:00 am- 7:00 pm at Jenkins Funeral Home, Cameron, SC.

Samuel Clay Moorer affectionately called "Shorty and Waterboy" was born on July 30, 1955 to the late James Moorer and Lurline Moorer.  He departed this life on June 24, 2016 in Madison, Georgia.

Samuel graduated from St. John High School in Cameron, South Carolina in 1964.  He was employed at Bowman Gin Trucking Company.  Samuel was a member of St. John Baptist Church.

Samuel is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Betty Bodrick, and his brothers, Calvin Shuler and James Banks.

Those left to spread his gift of laughter are his wife, Myra D. Moorer of Columbia, SC; two sons: Corey Moorer, Clinton Moorer and their mother, Sylvia Bodrick all of Washington, DC; one daughter, Kiara Moorer and her mother, Idella Glover both of St. Matthews, SC; one step son, Gary (Salena) Robinson of Lancaster, SC; a granddaughter, Kory Moorer; his brothers, Roger Shuler of New York, Deacon Willie Shuler and Deacon Willie (Beverly) Moorer both of Orangeburg, SC, James Earl Moorer and Thomas Moorer both of Cameron, SC; his sisters, Linda (Nathaniel) Cheesboro, Fannie Bonnette and Rosa Fogle all of Orangeburg, SC, and Lottie Moorer of Cameron, SC; two aunts: Annie Mae Bonaparte and Rosa Moorer; one uncle, George Moorer; one brother-in-law, John (Michelle) Bodrick; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
