Ms. Shannon Marie Jamison was born on July 7, 1969, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Isaiah and Margaret Harkness. She was a proud graduate of Westside High School, where she was an active and talented student—serving as a member of the basketball team, running track and field, cheering on the sidelines, and earning the title of Miss Westside in 1989. After high school, Shannon continued her education at South Carolina State University.

From a young age, Shannon displayed remarkable energy and versatility. She was an excellent swimmer, skater, and bowler—always embracing life with enthusiasm and a bright spirit that drew others to her.

On December 15, 2000, Shannon married the late Marion William Jamison III. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Marion William Jamison IV and Mark Isaiah Jamison, who were the joys of her life.

Throughout her life, Shannon was a dedicated and hardworking woman who cared deeply for others. Her professional journey reflected her compassionate spirit, as she worked with Singleton Clinic, Middleton & Associates Realtors, the Department of Social Services, Trinity United Methodist Church Daycare, and as a travel agent—always leaving a positive impact on those she met.

Beyond her professional and family life, Shannon had a heart that extended far beyond her own home. She was an "extra mother" to many throughout the years, offering guidance, love, and support to countless young people who affectionately viewed her as family. She shared a special sibling-like bond with Justin, whom she lovingly called her "little brother."

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Eugene and Eria Mattress, Lula Mae Reynolds, and Isaiah Harkness Sr.; her husband, Marion William Jamison III; her brother, Keith Harkness; and her in-laws, Marion William Jamison Jr. and Annie Jamison.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved sons, Marion and Mark Jamison; her devoted parents, Isaiah and Margaret Harkness; her sister, Pam Harkness; her "little brother" Justin Lewis; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Carole Harkness, Mark Jamison, David and Markitta Travillion, and Dock and Marlisa McKenzie; and her nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Terance Harkness, Tony and Anisa Travillion, and Dock and Jamison McKenzie; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Shannon will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her laughter, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and those who knew and loved her.
