Tucker Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. King will be placed in the church on Saturday, one hour before the service. Sylvester Boyce "West" King, son of Rosa Kelly and the late Larry Clayton Williams was born on January 27, 1060 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, South Carolina. At an early age, Sylvester joined Union Chapel Baptist Church. He attended the public schools in Orangeburg County and continued his education in Brooklyn, New York. Upon returning back to South Carolina, Sylvester found the love of his life and in February of 1982, he married Evelyn Thurman. Sylvester was an experienced truck driver and was employed by Merchants Produce Co., Hicklin Motor Line, Huffman Trucking Co., and Wilson Trucking Co. After ending his trucking career in 1999, he became employed by Husqvarna Outdoor Products as a Robot Welder Operator, where he remained until his death. Sylvester was preceded in death by his father, brother, maternal grandparents, great-grandparents, Edward and Phoebe King and his paternal grandparents, John Jasper and Edith Williams. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his loving wife of 32 years, Evelyn King; his mother, Rosa Kelly of Williamsport, PA; three brothers, Alexander King of Williamsport, PA, Larry (Lisa) Williams of New York, NY, Dathan (Shalita) Williams of Sacramento, CA; one sister, Danielle Williams of New York, NY; six sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; one aunt; one uncle; three grand aunts; one grand uncle; three Godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
