Mr. Timothy Lynn Jeter, son of Delores Jeter and Leon Batie, Sr., was born on April 30, 1962 in Barnwell, South Carolina and peacefully departed this life at his residence on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. "Tim" as he was affectionately known as, received his education in Blackville Public School System. After graduating from Blackville-Hilda High School, he entered into the United States Marine Corps. Tim was employed at Ducane Heating of Blackville, SC for 23 years. He joined Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he received spiritual guidance. Tim was a loving, kind and generous son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. His grandchildren called him "Pop". Tim was preceded in death by his loving sister, Tenissa D. Bosier and his niece, Sherell B. Donaldson. His memories will be cherished by his loving children; one son, Timothy D. Williams, Sr.; two daughters, Myeshia and Jasmine Jeter; a loving mother, Delores Jeter of Blackville, SC; his father, Leon (Barbara) Batie, Sr of Denmark, SC; a loving companion, Janet Redingburg of Williston, SC; four brothers, Percell (Patricia) Jeter of Blackville, SC, Dale Jeter of Columbia, SC, Leon Batie, Jr. of Killeen, TX and Charontyl Batie of Denmark, SC; two sisters, Josephine (Johnny) Kemp of Barnwell, SC and Sheila Batie Jones of North Augusta, SC: one uncle, Percell Jeter, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; one god sister, TyKeisha (Toby) Jenkins of Blackville, SC; one brother-in-law, Charles Bosier of Blackville, SC; three grandchildren; a best friend, Lynn Hayward; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Viewing for the public will be held on Sunday between the hours of 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
