Funeral services for the late Mr. Tommy Edward Joyner, Sr. will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Greater Sweet Branch Baptist Church, Govan, South Carolina. Interment services will follow immediately at the church cemetery. The public is invited to view on Mr. Joyner on Thursday between the hours of 10:00 am - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Tommy Edward Joyner Sr. was born on April 11, 1952 to the late Arthur and Alfair Joyner. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his residence. Tommy was united in marriage to Annette Jones Joyner on December 17, 1972. To this union, five children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Albertha Sally, Emma Joyner and Dorothy Dixon and one brother Arthur Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Annette Joyner; one son, Tommy Joyner Jr.; four daughters, Latonya (Eric) Jones Sr., Aretha Joyner, Shawnta (Allen) Harrison and Joyce Joyner all of Blackville, SC; three sisters, Mary Joyner, Linda Joyner and Trudy Joyner all of Blackville, SC; one aunt, Annie Bell Saxon; ten grandchildren, Kadejaha Joyner, Eric Jones Jr., TyQuan Donaldson, Kevante Kinard, Jamal Joyner, Kamari Joyner, Cameron Joyner, Isaiah Harrison, Ayden Harrison, Karter Wilson; an adopted grandson, Raequan Odom; two great grandchildren, Lauren Frazier and Zion Donaldson; one sister-in-law, Lee Ethel Middleton; four brothers-in-law, Alfonso Jones, Charles Jones, Curtis Jones and Edward Jones; an adopted daughter, Ms. Sharon Hartwell; four special nieces, Carol Johnson, Loretta Johnson, Johnetta Joyner and Melissa Washington; four close friends, Derrick Jones, Joe Frank Reed, Jeffery Sanders and Robert Sanders; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
