Funeral services for the late Tyrone Brooks will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Capernaum Missionary Baptist Church, Denmark, SC.  Interment services will follow immediately in the church cemetery.  Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 1:00- 8:00 pm at the Bamberg Chapel.


Tyrone Brooks was the son of the late Fred Washington and Bernice Brooks. He was born on September 11, 1970 in Bamberg County, South Carolina and departed this life on July 20, 2017 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Tyrone attended Denmark-Olar High School in Denmark, South Carolina. He completed 11 years of service with Orangeburg Bus Transportation. He loved to serve the Lord, DJ music, and was a part of the Masons.

Tyrone joined Capernaum Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

He married Gwendolyn Crosby Brooks of Norway, South Carolina, at an early age. This union was blessed with two children.

Tyrone was a member of Bowman Lodge #4.

Tyrone is survived by his mother, Ms. Bernice Brooks of Denmark, SC; his wife, Gwendolyn Crosby Brooks of Norway, SC; three sons, Tyerin Brooks, Tijeras Brooks and Demonta Brooks of Norway, SC; one daughter, Anqanette Jamison of Columbia, SC; a very special companion, Grace Hayes of the home; two stepchildren, Sharela Hayes and Darnquell Hayes of Orangeburg, SC; four grandchildren; one sister, Sheila Jamison of Norway, SC; two brothers, Dewitt Jennings and Edwin Jamison of Norway, SC; seven aunts; nine uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
