Valerie was a graduate of Blackville Hilda High School (Class of 2002), Blackville, South Carolina. She was employed at Husqvarna located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Early in life, Valerie joined the Sweet Branch Missionary Baptist Church where she remained throughout her life. She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her loving mother, Trudy Joyner of Blackville, South Carolina; her father, Benjamin (Runell) Perry of Blackville, South Carolina; one sister, Lana (Torrian) Joyner of Blackville, South Carolina; five brothers, Ricardo (Cynthia) Joyner of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Terence Joyner and Trinnten Mayes of Blackville, South Carolina; Brandon and Benjamin Perry Jr. of North Carolina; her Godmother, Carol (Pedro) Johnson of Blackville, South Carolina; four Godchildren; six nieces; five nephews; a favorite cousin, Tonya (JD) Joyner of Blackville, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, beloved friends.
