Verdine Tyler answered the Master's call on October 8, 2022 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina  She was the daughter of the late Henry and Fannie Reed and was born on February 13, 1934 in Bamberg, South Carolina.

Verdine was united in holy matrimony to the late James Tyler.

Verdine was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she was the Mother of the Church, sang in the senior choir and worked on other various committees .

Verdine is preceded in death by her husband and her brothers, Samuel Reed and Willie Reed.

Cherishing her loving memories are four sisters, Gedell Gibson of Asheville, NC, Mary H. Gardner of Detroit, Michigan and Dazarean McMillan of Orangeburg, South Carolina and a host of loving nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
