Mrs. Vernesta Thompson was born on April 19,1933 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the was the daughter of the late David Salley and the late Bertha Perry Salley.

Mrs. Thompson was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg CountyS she worked at the Glamour Shop and in the delicatessen department at Piggly Wiggly.

She will be sorely missed by her immediate relatives.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Frankie Thompson; daughter & son-in-law, Sue & Arthur King of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Lakeyia, Ivy, Edward, Yanneka and Arthur II; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with many other loving friends and family.
