William Henry "Nip" Salley, Jr. was born on March 13, 1951 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He peacefully departed this life on Monday morning, July 15, 2019, at his home.

Nip was a devoted and loving father and was the best grandfather ever. He was kind and very friendly to all who knew him.

Nip attended the public schools of Orangeburg and graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1970. He was employed at Electolux for more than a decade.

Nip was preceded in death by his father, William H. Salley, Sr., and four siblings, Janet Salley Clark, Anthony Salley, Sr., Willie Salley and Deloris Briggman.

Nip leaves to cherish fond memories: three children, Laconya Conner of Jacksonville FL, Jamaal (Tanisha) Salley of Holly Hill, SC and Crystal A. Ballard of Orangeburg, SC;  seven grandchildren, Taurice, Jamir, Jamarion, Tyren, Lydia (Lillie has he called her), Timothy Josiah and his baby David; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Salley;  a devoted partner, Mary Frazier of the home; three sisters, Dorothy (David) Lucus, Reatha (Titus) Perry all of Orangeburg, SC and Barbara (John) Dixion of Stamford, Connecticut; one brother, Rodney (Madelyn) Salley, of Orangeburg, SC;  the mother of his children, Sandra B. Salley of Orangeburg, SC and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
